Borderlands: The Handsome Collection announced

May 4, 2013
Gearbox have just announced that Borderlands 2, The Pre-Sequel, and around eight tonnes of DLC are coming to Xbox One as Borderlands: The Handsome Collection.

'Handsome' here has two meanings. Meaning one: this collection tells the saga of Borderlands 2 villain Handsome Jack, which is a clever way of explaining why the original Borderlands (where he doesn't feature) isn't included. Meaning two: both games should be better looking on Xbox One, with even HDier HD and "with high performance and graphical fidelity never before seen on consoles".

Oh, and both games' split-screen co-op modes have been upgraded to allow for four players, rather than the standard two. Hooray!

There's more good news, if you already have a save on 360, as a cross-save system will be included. You'll be able to transfer your character/s across to The Handsome Collection, and pick up where you left off. Double hooray!

All the current downloadable content for Borderlands 2 and The Pre-Sequel will be bundled into the collection, including two for The Pre-Sequel that haven't yet been announced. I'm not going to copy and paste the whole list, but it's a lot; Gearbox loves them some DLC.

The Handsome Collection is out for Xbox One on March 24th (in the US), and March 27th elsewhere.
