November 22, 2014 marks the official one year mark for the Xbox One. Microsoft has already made it known that owners of the games console are in for a few treats as a way to say "thank you" for the support out of the gate. Now, an additional perk looks to be making its way to those that picked up the console in its first twelve months.

Limbo, a critically-acclaimed indie title that made its debut on the Xbox 360 via the Xbox Live Arcade, is coming to the Xbox One and has been promised as a free downloadable game. The news has been confirmed to select gamers via the Xbox Live messaging system, where the message reads:
Thanks for being an Xbox One early adopter. To celebrate Year One, we're giving you Limbo when it's released. Stay tuned, your free code will arrive here."

While the message confirms the coming of Limbo for Xbox One, it isn't known when the game will be brought to the Xbox One platform. In fact, the game was in no way announced or confirmed for an Xbox One release prior to this message going out. Without any additional details, it looks like this free gift will be available to anyone who purchased a console within the first year of the Xbox One release, though we can't say for sure until we hear more from the Xbox team.

Got my code last night but not played it yet. I believe that anyone who bought the console in the first year will get the game.
