A new vidoe has been released showing the first gameplay footage from the upcoming Halo 5: Guardians.

In one demo, Microsoft's 343 Studios showed off the new Warzone multiplayer mode in the game. The company says that "this all new multiplayer mode is a brand-new multiplayer experience more ambitious than anything ever introduced in Halo, combining the best elements of Halo gameplay into one, gigantic multiplayer mode."

The maps are more than four times larger than previous multiplayer offerings in Halo, and offer combat with up to 24 players taking part.

In another demo, Microsoft revealed the first in-game footage showing gameplay in four-player co-operative campaign mode. The company says that "the campaign in Halo 5: Guardians will feature seamless drop-in/out online cooperative gameplay on dedicated services, enormous complex levels to support more enemies and bigger firefights".

Halo 5: Guardians officially launches on October 27, but you can pre-order the new game now, in various retail packages including the $249.99 Limited Collector's Edition
