Ghost Recon Wildlands gets 5 hour trial on PS4 and Xbox One

Ubisoft has released a five hour trial for Ghost Recon Wildlands on PS4 and Xbox One, which will give players the chance to experience single-player and online co-op modes. So, if you’re unsure whether an open-world tactical shooter is for you, you can try it and see. Clearly Ubisoft feels that more people need to experience one of the best-selling games of 2017. There’s been no word on whether this trial will be coming to PC.

The news of this trial comes soon after the announcement that Ghost Recon Wildlands will be getting a PvP mode in a free update the autumn, with a 4v4 deathmatch open beta coming to all platforms this summer.

This isn’t the first time Ubisoft has offered a timed trial for its well-known IPs. Watch Dogs 2 had one which was made available not long after the game's release, but then the game didn’t exactly sell particularly well, possibly a by-product of people's feelings on the hugely-promising yet underwhelming first game.

Ghost Recon Wildlands has been quite the hit, performing strongly as one of the best-selling games of 2017 despite a mixed critical response. The open beta for Ghost War will be available on all platforms later this summer, with the full mode will released as a free update to all Ghost Recon Wildland owners later in 2017.

Ghost Recon Wildlands is out now for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
