Halo: Master Chief Collection Adds Team Doubles

May 4, 2013
Ongoing support for last year's big Halo game, The Master Chief Collection, continues this week as developer 343 Industries has now introduced a Team Doubles playlist and is planning even more changes to the Xbox One game, it explains on Halo Waypoint.

Team Doubles is available now in The Master Chief Collection, allowing gamers to play the 2v2 mode across Halo 2 Classic, Halo 2: Anniversary, Halo 3, and Halo 4. 343 also stressed that it plans to adjust voting options and weighting (through a future update) in an effort to improve the variety of game types where players start with a Battle Rifle in hand.

Looking ahead, 343 also added that a dedicated Team Objective playlist will be introduced "in the coming weeks." While not confirmed, this playlist is likely to include objective-based game types such as Capture the Flag and King of the Hill, among others. In addition, 343 said it's planning to bring back SWAT.

Finally, 343 provided a status update for The Master Chief Collection's April content update. The developer is now putting on the "finishing touches and running final test passes" for this patch, which will focus on ranking, "title-specific improvements," and new quitting penalties. It should launch sometime in April.

Full patch notes will be available later.
