You've probably twigged it already, but the first beta test for the PC version of Halo: The Master Chief Collection won't be kicking off this month after all, 343 Industries has confirmed.

That's despite previous comments by the developer earlier this month, when community head honcho, Brian Jarrard, said that April would be the time when the 'first flight' for Halo: The Master Chief Collection would take place. He didn't say it was definitely happening, though, instead saying 'if all goes according to plan.'

Well, things didn't go according to plan, apparently. In a follow-up Tweet, Jarrard confirmed that the first beta has been postponed.

While we don't have a date for when Halo: The Master Chief Collection will start rolling out for PC, we do know that it'll begin with Halo: Reach. Early access will be given to members of Halo Insider, and it's hoped the whole collection will roll out by the end of this year.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection first launched on Xbox One back in 2014.
