Mobile Operator Billing Added To Xbox As Payment Option

May 4, 2013
You've always dreamed about buying games with your mobile phone, right? Well now you can, thanks to an Xbox partnership with O2.

Mobile Operator Billing has been added as an option on Xbox, meaning you can simply add the game to your next bill without the need for a credit card.

"Today, many Xbox gamers use their phone number to pay for games, movies, TV shows and much more, and have the charges added directly to their phone bill. Best of all, once this payment method is added to a Microsoft Account, all future purchases can be charged automatically," says a post of the Major Nelson Blog.

"Xbox gamers on the following mobile operators can use Operator Billing today in the Xbox Store on Xbox One, as well as in the Xbox App on Windows 10 devices and iOS and Android smartphones, depending on location."

The supported mobile operators include:

- Beeline Russia
- DNA Finland
- Elisa Finland
- O2 Germany
- O2 UK
- Swisscom Switzerland
- Telenor Hungary
- Telenor Norway
- Telenor Sweden

You simply just need to add 'mobile operator' as a new payment option to get started.
