Microsoft have announced today that most of the streaming apps will no longer need an Xbox Live gold subscription to use them. This applies to both Xbox One & Xbox 360 and the change will happen in June.

This means that owners of both consoles will only have to pay the subscription cost of the service you use. In addition owners of the Xbox One will be able to use additional features with a Live gold subscription. These apps are Skype, Internet Explorer, OneDrive & OneGuide.
