Today Square Enix announced the first Shadow of the Tomb Raider DLC.
The DLC, titled “The Forge” will be free for season pass holders and sold separately for those who didn’t get the bundle. It will release worldwide on November 13th for Ps4, Xbox One, and PC.
“In “The Forge”, Lara must brave the lava-flooded Forge of the fallen gods to uncover the secrets of Kuwaq Yaku. Throughout her journey, Lara will uncover details about a friend’s ancient legacy, and overcome a danger long thought to be lost in flame. “The Forge” delivers a brand-new challenge tomb, playable in both solo and co-op. Players who complete the challenge tomb will be rewarded with the Grenadier skill, Brocken outfit, and Umbrage 3-80 weapon.”
It’s the first of seven monthly DLC that will be distributed with the season pass, which will include challenge tombs, co-op experiences, weapons, costumes, score attack and time attack modes, and additional story missions.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider came out back in September, but it's fair to say that developer Eidos Montreal has given players plenty of reason to keep plugging away at Lara Croft's trilogy-closing adventure.
Today, the studio has rolled out the game's latest batch of DLC, The Grand Caiman, which sees Miss Croft attempting to save the village of San Juan from Trinity, who have returned to uncover a new crypt buried in the region. It also happens to be located next to a bunch of volcanoes, and unleashes the wrath of a powerful deity.
The Grand Caiman adds a bunch of fresh content into the mix, including the Reptile Hide outfit, the Whispering Scourge shotgun, and the Volcano skill. To bag these, you'll have to face the new volcanic challenge tomb and triumph over its many hazards.
You can grab the DLC now for £3.99 on its own, or download it as part of Shadow of the Tomb Raider's £24.99 Season Pass.
