The New Kinect Will Come to PC Next Year

UPDATE: Microsoft has issued a press release stating that the company plans to release a Windows-compatible version of the Xbox One's new and improved Kinect sensor next year. Additional details of the Windows-specific sensor and its software development kit will be released at Microsoft's BUILD 2013 conference from June 26th to the 28th.

The next-generation Kinect will be available on Windows PC at some stage in the future, according to Microsoft's corporate vice president of interactive entertainment business.

In an interview with Polygon, Ben Kilgore confirmed that the peripheral would be available on PC "at some point down the line."
