Xbox Fitness To be Discontinued By Microsoft

Reaction score
If you love video games and you love working out, Xbox Fitness service is a great tool to combine the best of both worlds. If you didn’t love working out, Xbox Fitness helped you achieve that without having to leave the house. Unfortunately, now Xbox One owners have to find another way to get fit.

Mark these important dates!

On June 27, 2016, Microsoft announced plans to shut down the Xbox Fitness.

Starting December 1, 2016, the Xbox Fitness 30-day free trial period will no longer be available. This was a bonus offer for Xbox Live Gold members. As of now, it is still available until then.

June 30, 2017 is the last day current users can use the Xbox Fitness service. The process to shut down Xbox Fitness of over two years will be gradual and not abrupt. However, it is no longer possible to purchase the Xbox Fitness service from the Xbox store.

On July 1, 2017, current users will no longer have access to using it.

What was great about Xbox Fitness was that gamers were provided with a great tool to work out and track their progress. They were even able to use the known Insanity and P90X programs.

An abundance of gamers are not thrilled by this announcement, especially those who have recently bought it (understandable). Those who purchased it in the recent hours were warned about the upcoming changes prior to the purchase confirmation.
